  • The California Air Resources Board has fined one Sacramento-area produce company $32,000 for not filing state-required reefer reports.

NorCal Produce will pay $32,550 after a CARB investigation showed the produce company failed to submit TRU reports required of in-state businesses that use reefers, which CARB calls transportation refrigeration units.

CARB sees the trucking industry as a gold mine!

  • @hanvwj

See it has allready started CA businesses getting killed with this ab32

    thanks for the reporting

    hanvwj

  • @hanvwj

I know NorCal Produce, i was in the grocery business for 38 years. They will now have to increase thier prices or layoff someone this year to make that back.

I wonder how many of these refer trucks are in CA??

  • The California Air Resource Board. How do they get away with all of things that they do? Someone needs to do something about this. If somone ever organizes a march against this communist group, I will be in it for sure.

  • @hanvwj

AB32 is a train wreck in motion for CA. we need new leadership in CA. We need to get this liberal's out of office. A CA audit found 19 billion dollars have been wasted away.

  • Nice Mike, keep up the good work. We need to take this once great country back. San Fran is about to fire all of there municipal employees and hire them back as part time. Even liberal SanFran relizes that these unions and big gov't, are sucking this state dry.

  • thanks,

By july 1st there will be a lot less government emplyees . the money is gone and will not come back for a long time.

  • What is so delightful is that millions of illegal aliens are pouring into California for free stuff. You guys need to get out there and work two or three jobs to pay the taxes so that these people, these illegal undocumented Americans from all over the world can chill out and eat food, have babies, sleep in late, get lazy, watch TV, get free medical and dental and surf all day.

Many more wokers need to get longer hours for taxes for illegals to have a good lazy California dreaming life.

  • Throttlehard replies: How brilliant of them to take notice of this "cleaner skies!" Maybe they failed to notice that not as many trucks are running down the road and the truck drivers are out of work/unemployed due to the heavy restrictions CARB has mandated on the trucking industry?

Such brilliance coming from a well paid salary of the CARB staff! CARB, are they taking resumes? I need to start on one.

  • The California Air Resource Board says,

“California has achieved cleaner skies largely through industry’s compliance with state, federal and local air quality laws,” James Ryden, CARB enforcement chief, said in an agency statement."

  • AB32 - The Dems plan to help ruin California's economy!

  • CARB recently announced it had fined Rite Aid Corporation $340,000 for violating the states clean air regulations. The company allegedly had sold windshield washer fluid that is specially formulated for colder, mountainous areas. Because the fluid was sold throughout the state, its use contributed to ozone creation in the states lower and warmer regions.

  • CHECK THIS OUT: Hien Tran, a team leader and resercher for diesel particulates was found fraudulent on his conclusion to this so called "global warming" issue.

There is also an issue concerning the Rite Aid chain. Stay tuned.

  • What happens when a company simply cannot afford to make the required adjustments? CARB is God? They are going to save the planet? -hanvwj-

  • In May of 2006, CARB mandated a law to reduce emission standards for reefer trailers 2001 and older by 50% and 85% for 2002 and newer models. The rule will continually generate tighter restrictions, including the exclusion of 2002 models by 2009 and newer models in each additional year. This law includes all inbound reefer trailers not registered in the state of California. Cost of retrofitting and/or replacing each unit will range from $2,000 to 20,000.
