Prime Minister Raila Odinga is maintaining the heat on embattled Education Minister Prof. Sam Ongeri; for the second time in four days, the prime minister publicly told off the education minister, calling him to step aside over the free primary education funds scandal. And as NTVs Rita Tinina reports, civil society groups today joined in the growing chorus on Ongeri and his permanent secretary to resign.
Why me? because i voted for him as President, he won and you stole his votes!!FYA

It's painfully funny how things are done in Kenya. Raila is REQUESTING the old dude to resign. Good try, but where is Kabaki on this. I read that neither of them could singly fire a minister because of the coalition govt agreements and politics that fear losing political support from certain areas in the nation. Meanwhile, the law enforcement in Kenya is dead and the police cannot pursue cases of corruption. Only commissions try to but in vain. It's time to steal forever with impunity in Kenya.

@kenyansoul....politics in Africa is very different from the west. In Africa power rests with individuals not the people. That is why MOI, Raila, Ngilu, Ruto, Kibaki can command a whole province/tribe to vote one way. that explains the Ngilu and Ruto situations. It's very sad but true. Kenyans and Africans are tribal people. It does not matter where they live. It will take 2 generations to finish tribalism

what Ongeri is saying is that, since Raila Odinga stole maize with William Ruto in 2008, it's now Ongeri's time to eat. is this acceptable?

I don't care about professor Ongeri i think he should quit. But the hypocrisy from ODM is perplexing and rotten to the core. Remember Maize scandal and Charity Ngilu with the water scandal. Nothing was done. That is why war on corruption will never be worn especially with populist Raila at the helm .

All railas folks will try to push these, Prof: Ongeri is not a misnister of Just Yesterday., like mwakwere or raila himself. , kenyan education even the time of saitoti as a MofE was the same, & raila u sound like u know what or how u did address Prof Ongeri was/is wrong this should hv been the same tone! & things would hv been different, you don't fight with a K, & thank u Prof, yes! he should hv been the 1st 1 to do so. omtata u don't get to decide for my president.
