Look up Smithson in any books on art and you'll get this one, look up Land Art a Complete Guide by William Malpas and you can put it into context. Lets face it it smacks heavily of American money and politics in art!

This is amazing. I was studying for my exam (taking History of American Art) and seen it from my textbook to video it's unbelievable. This Spiral Jetty is located in Great Salt Lake, Utah.
Isn't it amazing? I simple love it. The way he did it was because he was doing like a research and saw the way the molecules of the crystal salts are form and with the shore of the Lake it came to be like a spiral!!!

This wasn't the plane that kill him. I'm pretty sure he was showing the people his work when it was done (1970) he died three years later.
