A Ralph Eugene Meatyard Montage. He is one of my favorite photographers. The montage is played with Brand New's "Jesus Christ". I feel that the pictures and the music fits together well. and thanks to claweight, i now know the girl with cigarette is actually by Joseph Szabo

  • i keep coming back to this..i love the music you picked for this montage.

  • truly amazing photographer...i am intrigued by his work.

  • nice vid ;]

    i love his work.

  • Nice to see a tribute to a seemingly unknown but truly great photographer. His work was a great inspiration to me when I studied photography in college. One caveat; the picture of the girl with the cigarette (as seen on Dinsoaur Jr's Green Mind album) is actually by Joseph Szabo.

  • Nicely done. Meatyard's been a longtime favorite, and I also noticed some work i hadn't seen before as well as shots of the same sessions of his more known work. When I went back to school at UK in Lexington, my apartment was just down the road on Waller where Meatyard had his optometry practice. This is a great tribute to a still much underated artist.

  • this rocks! thanks for putting it together and getting it on youtube : )

  • Just wanted to say again, this is such a well done video. The music and images really seem to mesh. Plus, there are a number of photographs I had never seen before. The one at 4:06 really stands out. Such an amazing artist, such a great song. Thanks again for putting this up.

  • This is really well done. Meatyard has long been one of my favorite artists. What's the name of the band? Cool song.

  • Brilliant, timeless, haunting.. fitting of his genius. Great job.
