Gluing the CF into abrace with a simple jig and cutting the Xbrace joint with a simple sled on the tablesaw with stacked dado blades.

  • Chris, just a quick note that you should leave the CF/spruce composite braced for more than an hour, as the polyurethane glue can still be expanding while curing at the one hour mark. I leave them clamped for a full 24hrs. or more. Make a few pair ahead of time, then make extras whenever you have a spare minute or two, and you won't be tempted to rush the clamp time, and will always have plenty of braces on-hand.
