Planned a quick comparison, but there was too much to talk about so it turned out pretty long. I compare the specs, I compare features then I tell you what I like based on what's important to me. Big subjective comparison.

Also FYI, all Amazon features such as music and video streaming is available to the Blackberry Playbook; however, in web interface only. Not a native app.

Which do you like and why? Comment below!

  • How can you call the browser comparison a draw when the Playbook can play any and all flash content?

That's a fairly dismissive of the Playbook considering you went somewhat in depth on certain Fire browser features (server integration, for example).

  • @actuis So can the Fire.

  • Which one has a wider variety of apps?

  • @braedon218 Currently, Kindle Fire but the Playbook is expected to have access to the Android marketplace next month.

  • i have a playbook and i love it! but i heard rumours that android is coming to playbookk ! maybe on the OS2...

  • @bernardo0605 Android isn't coming. Android app compatibility is coming and yes, on OS2.

  • Btw thanks for the comparison.

  • Also the gesture frame to wake up the blackberry Playbook & browser, close pages& open pages is awesome. Now if you want apps I would say.Kindle for but my phone does that.

  • I bought the Playbook 200 & galaxy tab 7 plus 300 & returned the galaxy. Screen & audio is awesome. App wrist it's weak. Web browsing the best

  • I feel like they are far from being similar at all.Maybe in size but that's it.He didn't cover gestures, the ability to play flash,e-reading.Especially now with the 16gb being $200 and the 64gb only $300.And android apps being added to the playbook.when they came out the playbooks were not worth the money. But now they are far better.I remember reading a good quote about them.If you want an e-reader that looks like a tablet, the fire is for you.But if you want a good tablet, the playbook is better.

  • get a better camera dude

  • @custompcreview all of the android apps because i like android and i want to get a honeycomb tablet but the bb playbook will save me a lot of money and i have 2 android phones and dont have a blackbery but i kb=now how to use the playbook so should i spend more money and get honeycomb or save my money and stick with bb playbook

  • @Tiffanyheartsbeauty Yes but you do it through the website, I don't think there's an app or a simpler way to do it.
