Here it is as last! Sorry it took so long but I've finally managed to put together a short guide to five basic Sony Vegas Movie Studio effects. As explained in the video, I used Runescape clips to demonstrate the effects, but you can use these effects on any clips and in any video.

The effects demonstrated in this video are:
Sony Unsharp Mask
Sony Glow
Sony Film Effects
Sony Lens Flare
Sony Chroma Keyer

The clips used to demonstrate effects in this video, are all from the raw video files used in my upcoming RSMV for "A Town Called Hypocrisy". In other words, this video is not only a guide but a preview of my next video.
These clips were filmed using Fraps and the clips of me applying the effect were filmed using Screen Recorder Gold. I also used Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0 to edit.
The songs used in this video are: "The Scientist" by Coldplay; and "When September Ends" by Green Day.
I'd also just like to thank 0 Hybrid O3 for giving me a hand with the editing.
And finally, if you have any questions, or if something wasn't explained well, or if you want me to demonstrate some more effects, just leave a comment and I'll try and get back to you.

  • thanks for the tips but my problem is that i know how to put the effects in there i just dont kno how to cut them cuz they play for the whole video

  • @OpticWeezy There should be a timeline at the bottom of the effects window with small diamond-shaped markers on it. You can set different values for the effect at different points along the timeline. So to stop an effect, just set the values to zero at the point where you want it to stop.

  • Can you make some more videos? :) I found this video really helpful and i looked up other videos for different effects but they did it too fast and its hard to understand. :D

  • @XXrandomnessemoXX Sorry, I probably won't be making videos again for a while.

  • @Carathun ok thanks

  • @firexpa

same as the last effect only put 2-3 ( how many peoples you want ) under eachother in SV ;D

  • @Carathun Sorry, for some reason I can't post the link. But if you look on my channel for the video about cropping and track motion you should be able to find it.

  • @firexpa Sorry, I don't quite understand what you're asking but I think I might have a video that can help you. I've uploaded another tutorial for Sony Vegas. Here's the link. Watch the bit about track motion.
