  • " Perhaps the embrace of ignorance over enlightenment is whats wrong with our society?"

Indeed. Just look at the recent celebrity headline makers: Paris, Brittney, Lyndsey Lohan; all idiots and somehow their stupidity is celebrated by the media.

  • It's kind of amazing, seeing people with a knowledge of something such as mathematics, being referred to in derogetory terms. Perhaps the embrace of ignorance over enlightenment is whats wrong with our society?

  • My colleagues and I do this too... we go out for a drink and pizza and end up talking about "work". I would be doing it if I wasn't getting paid for it anyway (programming), so I don't see anything wrong with talking about it. What is there better to talk about than what you love? Talking about TV and politics is mind-numbing, and discussing fields you know nothing about is dishonest. This script is a bit odd anyway, excluding everything "mathy" is excluding pretty much anything interesting.

  • This show has some of the worst and most unnatural dialogue in any tv show I've had the displeasure of briefly viewing. Not to mention Numb3rs' take on IRC... Look it up.

  • meh it's just poor scripting.

  • is this the girl from two and a half men? mia?

  • @k0namiman Yup like they say Ignorance is bliss

  • @deviljam4 Yes, sure. you're right, fractals don't necessarily follow the fibonacci sequence. However the broccoli has a protuberance disposition that follows it. Protuberances from the more central going outward have size of 1, 1, 2, 3 etc. The guy who gave the title to the video must have done his own consideration! :) It's not understandable from the video itself....

  • @TheGiacomopuccini

The extent of that is not explained at all. Is it because the shape forms a fractal based on the golden ratio. They mention fractals, but fractals don't inherently obey the Fibonacci sequence.

  • In the broccoli, its protuberances are disposed following the fibonacci sequence..

  • Where was the Fibonacci Sequence in that clip?

  • mm talk nerdy to me
