Yea, finally! I know, many people asked me for playing themes from this movie in the meantime. Here's now the first! Further will coming soon!
It's a very nice theme from a great great movie. Starts pretty sad but then change in a more positive mood and at the end it finished on a major not a minor chord, symbolic of the certain hope to find the child soon.
If you haven't watched it so far you should! Definitively!

I've not heard of this movie, but very nice music! Drama is quite palpable. One of the fascinating things I've learned about Hisaishi is that his style is so versatile...one never gets the impression that his compositions follow a standard or signature theme or construction. He's difficult to identify many times. Lovely performance!

you don't know "Totoro"? Oh, what a pity, then you must ask some Japanese children, lol...Think everybody knows it there...You can find "Totoros" also very often as stuffed animals ;)

Okay, okay...lol!! Judging from the degree of shock, I am obviously completely out of the loop about Totoro... :) I will make it a point to get up to speed about this. Thanks for the heads up! :) Stephan does a great job with the theme...despite it being for a children's film, the music has a lot of maturity.
