  • Hi, great demo. As the Tube-Vibe is a "modulation" pedal, would it not be better placed after dirt pedals along with chorus/flange etc, or is there a reason why it is better before distortion etc.?

  • It's up to you what order the vibe is placed. Personally, I think before drive retains the naturally character of the vibe where after sounds kinda scatchy, like "who's that lady" vs. "bridge of sighs'

  • I would never use one, but it still sounds sick, especially for that Hendrix tone you hear on voodoo child. If I were in a Hendrix cover/tribute band I'd be all over this monster.

What guitar were you running this time, I'm guessing a strat.

By the way Andy, what do you think of the deluxe reverb? I'm guessing you like it since you use it so much. I'm really interested in getting one.

By the way, your izabella cover was spot on.

  • Thanks!

The Deluxe Reverb was chosen as the demo amp because it has a great clean tone and low wattage means it will break up and respond easily to boost and overdrive pedals at lower volume. It's a great amp!

  • why the hell does he not tell us what guitar hes playing any more?

  • Strat

  • @jma111000 For Black Hole Sun's intro and verse you'll need a rotating speaker or a rotating speaker simulator pedal such as the Ventilator, Rotosphere, or Lex.... all of them expensive pedals :S

  • Didn't really sound like black hole sun but definitely sounded great in a different way. Knowing this has tubes AND is hand made, I'm guessing I can't afford it.

  • Pink Floyd :D

  • Gotta love a little "throb in the low end."

  • Just got mine today! I put it after the Big Muff and before the VS Jekyll/Hyde and the Rockbox Boiling Point. It sounds fantastic with the Rockbox! Still experimenting, but the Tube Vibe is awesome. I'm playing a 10 year old Fender 57 Reissue Strat thru a PRS Sweet 16.
