Monroe County Library System Alberta Adams: Wow what a show, the Detroit musicians at this event stole the show. Alberta Adams together with Thornetta Davis (vocals), Johnnie Bassett (guitar), Paul Carey (guitar) Shawn McDonald (keyboards), Mike Marshall (bass), Pat Seymour (sax), and RJ Spangler(drums). Robert Jones(guitar, vocals) The Monroe library system has put this concert series on for twenty years. This is a well organized concert and always a standing room only crowd. The Detroit Blues Society along with the Black Swamp Blues Society of Toledo were also in attendance. If you missed this event put it on the calendar for next year it is without a doubt always a musical treat and it is free admission. In addition to some of our Detroit favs, Hubert Sumlin, Ann Rabson, and Madcat Ruth joined in the festivities. There are free music events put on all over the Detroit Metro area, get out and support live music. HPW
