Bill Clinton in conversation with moderator James Fallows at the Aspen Institute's 2006 Aspen Ideas Festival.

Some of the most inspired and provocative thinkers, writers, artists, business people, teachers and other leaders drawn from myriad fields and from across the country and around the world all gathered in a single place - to teach, speak, lead, question, and answer at the 2006 Aspen Ideas Festival. Throughout the week, they all interacted with an audience of thoughtful people who stepped back from their day-to-day routines to delve deeply into a world of ideas, thought, and discussion. -- Aspen Institute

William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III on August 19, 1946) was the 42nd President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001. Clinton served five terms as the Governor of Arkansas. His wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, is currently the junior U.S. Senator from New York.

During his tenure as president, his domestic priorities included efforts to create a universal healthcare system, to improve education, to restrict handgun sales, to balance the federal budget, to strengthen environmental regulations, to improve race relations, and to protect the jobs of workers during pregnancy or medical emergency. His domestic agenda also included other themes such as reforming welfare programs, expanding the "War on Drugs", and increasing law enforcement funding. Internationally, his priorities included reducing trade barriers, preventing nuclear proliferation, and mediating the Northern Ireland peace process and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.

  • @raunchy1978 superfluous huh?

  • @Illmatic662 Your entitled to your own opinions. With that being said i cannot change your mind. Goodbye

  • @JordonSanchez Oh yeah Katrina, that was the place where he showed up two weeks late right? We didn't HAVE to go to Iraq, real talk. They could have just found a way to kill Bin Laden (Which he could never accomplish), and this could have saved all those million of Iraqi's that were killed innocently as a result of the stupid war. I'm not being someone who believes all I hear I believe things the way that is is shown, and it was shown that Clinton was a hell of a better president then Bush.

  • @Illmatic662 I did not doubt Clinton's political achievements did i? However Bush had a lot on his plate as president, Clinton did not. George W Bush had 9/11, Iraq War, Hurricane Katrina, Economic Meltdown, etc. Not to mention other foreign burdens such as Iran and North Korea. You don't need to be another one of those people who believe everything they hear. The media is pretty much it's political party it has lies and deceptions within it and will do anything to make you believe them. Goodbye

  • @JordonSanchez So he is a politician and he lied.....sounds like every other politician on the planet.

Here is a common man, someone who understood the struggles of the poor and middle class, something that Bush was never able to demonstrate, him nor his father. He created 22 Million jobs as president way more then Obama and Bush combined.

  • @Illmatic662 Haha i could care less what he did but when he lies to the country about what he did and then retract his statement what does that tell you? Also making a fool out of his wife on national television isn't right also. Other then that whatever happens happens

  • @JordonSanchez Whats next, you gonna tell me Bush was even half the president hat Clinton was? Let him screw his maid what does that have to do with you? His job is to serve America, let him fuck whoever he wants to.

  • @TheLaissezFaire Bitter?

  • @TheLaissezFaire No he probably just got done screwing somebody lol and he's exhausted

  • Here we go with Bill Clinton, is this how politics works? If i didn't know any better BILL CLINTON and the DEMOCRATS during the 90's said we need to deal with Iraq and do something about Saddam Hussein? lmfao hypocritical much. ah well he's probably screwing his maid while Hillary Clinton is off making the money.. But that's just my opinion. It's funny how he makes Karl Rove look bad but Karl Rove predicted the democrats to lose twice and one of which was your vice presidential running mate haha
