@lanangejagad Gurkhas are formed by Gurung, Magar, Limbu, Rai ethnic community from Nepal. These four group are all Mongoloid in race and are NOT Hindus. Their religion is animistic(worshiping of ancestors, nature and land). The Gurkhas joined the British army because they are discriminated by Hindu Aryan government in running of Nepal. @diliprai i believe that gurkha is one of the best-mercenaries in the world.sadly they`re only mercenaries with no-proud of nationalism & don`t know what for they`re going to war!

@lanangejagad It's very heartbreaking that already 4 Gurkhas have died in Afghanistan alone. The latest being Rifleman Remand Kulung Rai who died just last week and Corporal Arjun Purja Magar who was killed in July last month. The two brace soldiers add to the list of casualty of Sergeant Krishna Bahadur Magar and Rifleman Yubraj Rai who were both killed last year.
