  • i have just "discovered" this genre of music. i discovered it like the the English discovered India. It was always there, but i failed to to search for this type of music. i have always listened to what was on the radio and tv. the pop stuff. but i now know that isn't where the true music or musicians live. they are out playing in small clubs.i love Andy Mckee, and don ross. i just wished i could have seen The Man live(Michael Hedges). RIP Michael. what do you think of Andy? he looks up to you

  • I have seen many the great guitar player. I arenas filled with thousands. One night I saw Mr. Hedges in a room with 250 people.

The GREATEST PLAYER I have ever seen, and I have seen many.

  • I love this guy's energy.

  • I completely lose it at 1:10

  • @:43 is quite amazing...indescribable.

  • Hedges ruled.

  • the way he yells before the chorus gives me gosebumps! its a very "the last samurai" feeling:D

  • About 3 years ago I "discovered" Michael Kelsey (even though his debute album was released in 1996) by happenchance at a local outdoor gig he was doing. Kelsey turned me on to Hedges as a primary major influence, and now I know why.

CANdYRAY records has amazing artists like this - Andy McKee (mentioned above), Antoine Dufour, Ewan Dobson, Stefano Barone, etc.

All, nothing short of amazing, innovative artists.

  • @worldwildwest......I couldnt have said it better myself, the man was a genius

  • Anyone can play the Guitar like a Pro but Few Insanely Gifted Geniuses can add a Whole New Meaning to an Acoustic Instrument, So Sad he Died Young.

  • @bizzarefrog No, that's not the Hedges way. It is a crazy sound for 12th fret harmonic but if anyone could get crazy sounds out of a guitar, it was this guy!
