I respected John McCain's campaign much more than I did Mr. Romney's. For one, when people said ridiculous things such as this he corrected them. Romney on the other hand wouldn't correct Donald Chump for questioning the President's citizenship. He also didn't question his top campaign adviser Sununu for saying the only reason Colin Powell endorsed him (the President) is because he was black. I won't even get into the amount of flip flopping that took place. Shows much about his character.

that depends on where as well,I grew up in a non-muslim school in a muslim country.I have close friends with a liberal atheist as well others being theist.I have great teachers of different religious affliation. Of course,There are also intolerable people but not in my area.But i think it has to do with Humanity.Racism has to do with the individual,blaming a whole race for prejudice doesn't make any sense

If it makes you feel any better, I live in a Southern city and people of middle eastern heritage are accepted and treated well. There are even muslim women who wear the niqab (that's what it's called, right?), and nobody bats an eye. Granted, I live in a liberal college town, but I think many of the prejudiced people are living in small towns. I'm not completely convinced that Americans (especially American women) are warmly welcomed in many Arab countries, but I hope it's true.
