@Adreizehn For standards, it's generally accepted that you don't read on a gig, but what happens when you;re playing with a killing band from new york who write tunes with crazy metric modulations, or something in multiple key centres. Guitar players should have just as good reading chops as any horn player. A horn player isn't going to bring 7 charts for the band and 1 chart for the guitarist to a gig. Tabs are ruining a lot of potentially well- rounded guitarists.

@fishqwer you don't need tabs or sheet music you only need you fucking ear. and why can't you play jazz with tabs? rythm can you figure out easily when you hear the song.
