Swing is just a more overarching term that includes Lindy (short for the Lindy Hop).
Lindy (from the late 20s and 30s I believe) was kinda the grandfather of anything called swing — then Jitterbug and all sorts of stuff developed later as variations of swing.
You had Charleston as a very upright & closed dance in the 20s then Lindy kinda broke it out and brought it down because of the energy... and swing was born.
