IN SEARCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

I listened at the reading
as he conned the audience
with self-righteous
politically correct poetry.

Then I confronted him.

"You seem to have
all the answers
- maybe you should
carve your poems
into stone tablets
for us philistines."

He delicately sipped
his decaffeinated espresso
and replied,

"I've heard your
self-pitying monologues
on relationships and addictions
- perhaps you should
just nail yourself to a cross
and get it over with."

After a long conversation
we found much in common
and became friends.

Now we're looking
for one more person
so we can form
a Trinity.

I'm the one with the coffee, but not the writer of this poem. I would mock god, but in this case I didn't. As Shannon announced at the beginning of this video, it's a poem by David Randall Curtis. It's about the ego of a poet. It just takes a word to trigger you, though, doesn't it, Glenn. Of course, we can't see you now. Has that vein in your head popped yet from all the hate? Or are you waiting for your eyeballs to explode first?

Good for you, asshole. You got to spew at me again even though blocked. As for my remarks to Glenn, perhaps you didn't see any of the hate-filled videos of his as GlennReb, Screaming vitriol and literally getting red in the face. What I said to him was merely an observation of what I actually saw. You won't spit on my grave. When I die I am going to medical school! I'll be worth more dead than you ever will be alive.
