This is just to show my dad the noise the car makes. It ended up being a bad idler pulley on the timing belt. It caused the belt to jump a few teeth so it wouldn't start.
so what happens after this? did you fixed it? was the rods bent? i had the same issue on my 99 impreza 2.5rs, with the idler pulley seized up not spinning because the bearings are shot causing
the stud and the mounting hole to strip, the belt also jumped half a turn and bent all the rods on the driver side.
