Jack was sitting on his coach, not in bed. The cause of the fire was unknown and they suspect it might have been a cigarette.. Jack died of smoke inhalation.

Many years ago towards the end of her life my father drove Diana Dors to Wales when she was doing a charity event my dad had organised he said she was just lovely. I still have the napkin she wrote a note on for my mum saying not to let my dad go or she would have him.

I didn't know that Richard "Dickie" Dawson was Diana Dors husband. Both Richard "Dickie" & Jack were married to very popular stars, Diana & Shirley.
