What is a "Liberty Candidate?" To find out:

Here's a great resource for learning all about this legislation:

The prospect of limiting government spending is attractive to Libertarians like Rob McNealy, an Aurora resident and 2010 candidate for Colorado's 6th Congressional District.

McNealy fully supports the ballot intiatives. He said the proposals would drastically improve lawmakers' unreasonable spending habits. The state is in financial turmoil because of lawmakers who are spending money they don't have, he said.

"If the government was doing its job in the state of Colorado, these ballot initiatives wouldn't exist to begin with," he said. "We have a government that is not operating in an efficient, responsible, sustainable manner, and therefore the people have to do something to reign in government spending."

Although he admits the measures are radical, McNealy says they are necessary.

  • @razed1022 I completely agree with you i work the state gov't and think that the big guys make way too much, but the prick ceo at the utilities is not even on the level, $300,000+ a year is rediculous!

  • Great explanation!!! Go Libertarians!!

  • Nice job, Rob!

  • ten dollars for license plates, control government borrowing and lower property taxes. hell yes I'm voting for all three!!

We have tried and tried to stop the wasteful spending but to no avail. If these measures pass they will be forced to cut budgets and take some cuts off these politicians crazy salaries. I work for local gov. I make peanuts almost qualify for food stamps while my elected officials are make 3-4 times what I make and are at work MAYBE 1/10 the time im there.

  • great job
