  • Nice. But the thought of Hollywood trying to remake the greatest sci fi movie ever fills me with dread. How do you improve on something that is pure perfection?

  • I don't think so ;-)

  • More human than human . . .

  • This really should actually be incorporated as the new opening for the film. In my mind it already is. It totally captures the whole essence of the story- and it truly completes the film. Utterly genius. Take note Ridley Scott.

  • gorgeous

Blade Runner (the version with the VO) is my favorite movie of all time.

This intro shoul be on the next movie that Scott is doing (thankfully its NOT a remake - but a further story in the BR universe)

  • I like this opening better, actually, and that's saying alot, BR is my favorite movie of all time.

  • @Dynaverse I don't know about a year ago but now there are plans for a new Blade Runner movie with Ridley Scott off course, they are still nto sure if it's a prequel or sequel and they are reaching to Harrison Ford also

  • (...from myspace) Earlier in the year (2011), Alcon Entertainment purchased the rights to Ridley Scott's cyberpunk neo-noir 'Blade Runner.' Big deal, right? It seems like every weekend we're given a rehashed CGI/3D version of an 80s classic. Why, my aunt Mabel is working on securing the rights for her remake of 'Howard the Duck.' Not this time. Alcon has brought in Ridley Scott—the director of the original—to spearhead a new 'Blade Runner' project, which they've promised will not be a remake.

  • I applaud the effort but nothing can come close to the original opening. It was as if being dropped in to the world as a participant. A gentle swell and then....LOS ANGELES...2019.

Love the music in this though.

  • I'm getting a Sid Meier's Civilization vibe. Great work!

  • Please, can you tell how you did the shadow effekts and the writings of that video? It is ... it is still the best thing I've ever seen on youtube!

  • @Frederic94 But if a remake is made of Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep it is not really a remake but another adaptation. A big budget remake of Blade Runner will not use the novel as a source but Ridley Scott's film, because it has become a cult movie since the 90's and a remake is going to cash in on the cult reputation. The Blade Runner remake will have even less to do with PKD's story if not for some excentric idea, a producer or director went back to the book out of artistic reasons.
