I had a trail camera set up and was watching a large blacktail buck with the hopes of hunting it LEGALLY come bow season. Unfortunately, my neighbors had other plans. About 10:00pm two days before bow season it was poached and wounded where it died later the next day. It was killed out of season, with a rifle at night. Unfortuntely, I cant prove who did it because nothing was taken from it. If the antlers were missing, Id direct the police to someones house because there would be something to find. Since it escaped, they have no evidence and there is nothing I can do. What a bunch of ........ they are. What were they going to do?.. brag about their big buck that they got. That's sure something to be proud of. I guess they'd have to lie about how they killed it.

Wherever you go, there you are. You are the only one you have to live with 24/7

It wasnt a couple days. My The last trailcam pic I got of it was on 8-15. It died about 2 days later. I shot my search video on 9-13 and posted it on 9-14. I guess my couple days was actually a couple weeks. Nevertheless, how fast does a flock of buzzards and scavengers clean a carcass? ...days!

  • Hmmm, is that a road?

  • @Nightmare3mo I suppose it is possible it got hit by a car but the circumstances surrounding the time if its disappearance, the gunshot and its death make it pretty clear to me. In the video, I am walking up a skid road. The nearest street is about 500 yards away

  • Sorry buddy for a rack to get white like that our has to be fired for quite sometime not days maybe months but even some of the racks I have that I have had for over a year are still not white like that one is

  • @YellowWolf187 You are absolutely correct. It does take a rack over a year to bleach and whiten.... this was not a nice brown polished rack though. He was still in velvet. When the velvet rots off it leaves the antlers all white and pithy. If I was a poacher, I certainly wouldnt take a buck whose antlers would look like that! Have a happy Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for even in these crazy times we live in! Dan

  • If you found it the next day why does it look like it's months old there is no way you found that the next day I agree with the one of the early post your the poacher you killed it you just felt like finding someone else to blame if you are a hunter then you should know what a deer looks like the next day

  • @YellowWolf187 You are correct, it wasnt a couple days ago. Read the description.

  • sorry to hurt ur feelings bud but that aint no 4 point

  • @gotrocksinhead This is correct, but notice the road? I HIGHLY doubt it was shot. But I doubt he's a poacher seeing how upset he actually was. Why would you poach such as small Buck?

  • @1000kalado Thanks

Also, would you want to watch a vid of me walking around for a half hour?.. most people would get bored real quick! . Editing makes videos much more interesting to watch. Im not a poacher..
