DYWNOTT Chapter 9

*Rebecca's POV*
This can't be right.All I did was fall down a few stairs.Now they're telling me that my baby is dead.Something is fishy about this and I am going to stop at nothing to figure it out!

"Hey," I said quietly.
"Hi.Are you okay?" Kevin replied.
"Yeah.I'll be fine," I said.
"Good.You really scared me today," Julie said as she came up for a hug.
"Things wouldn't be the same without you," Joe said.

Nick walked in the room with a distraught look on his face.I knew something was up but Nick can be very secretive so I didn't bother asking.

"Stephanie is here," Nick said blankly.
"Cool.Send her in!" I exclaimed.
"I can't do that," Nick said.
"Why?" Joe asked.
"Because she is in the hospital too!She believed all these lies that Charlee told and ran out of the house crying.She tried to kill herself!And now she wants to break up with me.My life is ruined.I have nothing!" Nick said through angry tears.
Everyone was awestruck.There was complete silence.
"Nick I'm sorry," Julie said.
"Sorry isn't going to fix anything," Nick said angrily as he stormed out of the room.
"I'm going to go visit Stephanie.Do any of you want to come?" Joe asked.
"No.We'll go later," Julie replied.
***********Joe's POV****************

*In Stephanie's room*
"Hey Joe," She said.
I knew the smile that she gave me was fake.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm fine," she lied.
Did you see that?She lied right to my face.The nerve of some people.
"No you're not.Tell me the truth," I said.
"Why do you care so much?!" Stephanie yelled.
"Because I care about you! I screamed.
"You do?" She said softly.
"Of course I do.Now will you tell me whats wrong?" I said leaning on the side of her hospital bed.
"Wow Joe.No one has ever taken this much interest in me before,not even Nick.We broke up.Thats kind of what's bothering me," Stephanie said.
"I know how you feel.Julie broke up with me," I said.
"Oh yeah I remeber you telling me that.I'm sorry Joe," Stephanie said.
"Its okay," I said.
"I've been sitting here bored for about two hours so you owe me," Stephanie said jokingly.
"How do you expect me to fik your boredom?" I asked.
"We can watch TV together!" Stephanie said.
"Once a kid,always a kid," I said.
"I'll let you watch Barney," Stephanie said in a singing tone.
"Really?!Move over!" I exclaimed.
I sat down beside her and watched TV together for hours.In the middle of the Barney Sing Along I think she fell asleep.She stopped singing and layed her head on my shoulder.I turned off the TV and layed my head down.I couldn't leave.I'd wake Stephanie up and I didn't really want to leave anyway.I kissed her forehead and I went to sleep.Everything's all right. (Hmmmm Do you recongnize that line from a certain JB song?)




I'm posting early because I'm bored.Hurrican Hanna is passing by my area in North Carolina right now so its raining.Tommorrow is going to be sunny so we'll celebrate my birthday tommorrow.Me and my brother have the same birthday but he is five years older than me.
