Charles Bukowski in Apostrophes.

  • These fucking frogs always think they have some edge on art. So condescending and insignificant really, Bukowski "the drunk" has done so much more than any of those clowns realize. He made so much literature and art accessible to the average man!

  • BIEN AHI!!

  • I also get tears of joy reading Bukowski. A shame the french versions of his books are so crappy, so transformed: as a quebecer, i'd like genuine french versions of his work. Meanwhile, I keep on reading the man's words...and I feel better.

  • The funny thing was that in the days following this TV show Bukowski's books sold out in French bookshops as a result of the interest in him which this program generated.

C. Bukowski

  • @jmufkinc A frog thinks you should learn to speak french because you don't understand what happened this day (22 september 1978). There were very pleased to have Bukowski seated next to them. The man with the huge mustach, for example, says he loves Bukowski. The fact is, Bukowski was too drunk to understand Pivot's questions, he did something not very nice to the lady (you have to watch the all interview to see it) and few minutes later, he threatened someone with a knife in the backstages-ahah

  • please subtitle.... maybe in german ;)

  • Funny shit!

  • Have they made a movie version of "Ham On Rye" If not, they sould.

  • Genet was the last remarkable french writer, even Sartre found out. I`d wonder if Houllebecq would claim anything else...

  • Russian has its Pushkin—America has Bukowski.

  • interesante entrevista

  • the french are fucking faggy. cant say anything else about them.

  • ellaaaaaaaaaaa

    la weona intelectual

    xupalo meando

  • @jmufkinc Amen. The French are the poseurs of planet Earth. So made-up, so false, so full of lies, so ready for a fall.

  • The translator does a great job. All others are dishonest cunts.

  • @mavlok yo lol he doesnt get pissed he just says to the host - it's your fault you had to put a fake wine or put water in it!

then the host is like - But he brought his own bottles!

not in a pissed off way :P

(btw i speak french, enjoy the translation)

  • @jmufkinc red neck

  • @mavlok epic.very,very epic.

  • @jmufkinc As much as I love Bukowski's work, he was always pretty condescending himself. He said many times that most of the writers were lame and boring, and that you had to go through skid row to be a good writer and shit like that. I think he might be one of the most condescending writer of all time haha

  • @Salvac88 see: Os velhos da montanha
