  • what's with the stomp? and that's right before the high note....which killed it. 

  • @treyd152a Very interesting. This is the first time I heard this piece (that is why I moved the camera when they did stomp - caught me off guard). However, every recording I hear after this...I wonder...why not the stomp? It is very, very gospel. It is 'interpretation' that Dr. Raines made. It only killed in your mind as you have performed/heard it differently. To me the listener, the foot stomp is "inspired" by the gospel nature of the piece. To each their own but no doubt this is great!

  • @treyd152a we sang this one as well in our choi, but i hate the extreme stops between the different parts of this song, that takes out the dynamic..:/ it's a gospel and no classical piece of music..
