Venus tightens up toooo much when she is on the brink of victory against Serena.,.. Serena never tightens up usually .. thats the only edge Serena has because of which she wins.. else Venus is better than Serena

I agree. Venus can beat Serena in Serena's best form. The problem and edge Serena has is that Venus gets tight easily and her flawed technique makes her suffer like in the Australian open 2003. Serenas mechanics are better and thats the only reason she can still run out a win inspite of behing behind . Venus' technique is very flawed although she is otherwise a better palyer than serena.

MARTINEZ???? all she had was being able to reach the semis of tournaments when the depth of the womans game sucked. trussme everyone says todays womans game lacks depth... during the times of graf seles and vicario the depth sucked so fucking much they alwayswon 0 and 1 in the 1st 4 rounds. only later did this change when the williams sisters the depth got better.hingis was lucky as no one was around in 1997.

Venus can wop Serena at her best and badly. 2008 you should see his, cause Serena has made her accomplishments, soetimes at the expense of her Venus so look out. Venus is hungrier than ever now and she probably feels she has something to prove. She might just dominate little sis in 08.

Venus IMO gave this match away. Venus was up 5-3 or 5-2 in that 1st set and simply did not put Serena away. Venus can indeed beat an "on-form Serena", it's just mentally Venus is conflicted always when playing Serena. She wants too much the best for Serena even when playing her for big titles.

No one can match an on-form Serena. Not even Venus can. I just hope she gets back to that form in 2008, she could win more than one 1 grand slam!!!
