They step into the room and Colleen asks suddenly feeling a little nervous "Should I put a movie on or something?" Nick shrugs "Sure." As he steps over to the bed and stretches out on it propping a pillow behind his back so he's leaning against the headboard. Colleen turns the TV on and picks up the remote before sitting beside him, he wraps his arm over her shoulder and she snuggles in close. "I don't know what's on, but I'm sure we could find something?" She starts flipping through the channels "no, no, no, no..." she says as she passes each channel rapidly. She stops for a second on the Disney Channel and Nick quickly says "NO!" and grabs the remote. He changes the channel quickly, Colleen bites her tongue trying not to laugh at his quick reaction to a certain persons image flashing on the screen. He stops on one of the movie channels "The Hangover, okay with you?" he asks "I know it's been on for a bit but does that really matter?" Colleen looks up at him and is drawn into his chocolate eyes "Sure." She says breathlessly. He smiles down at her and lifts her chin up a little with his finger as he softly presses his lips to hers. It is a short sweet kiss but it is enough to cause Colleen's heart to start dancing. She leans her head against his chest and smiles as the rapid thump thump of his heart tells her that he was feeling the same. "This is nice." She whispers into his shirt, as he runs his fingers gently through her chestnut hair."That it is." He replies his lip press against the top of her head. "It seems like forever since we've been able to do this." She announces, he smiles as he thinks about it, but his smile soon turns into a slight frown "It wasn't that long ago, it was the night Lisa was..." "Don't say it." Colleen protests her eyes squeezed shut tight, wanting to block the memory of that horrible night. He pulls her close giving her a comforting embrace. "I just hope she can get over it?" Colleen says after a moment's silence. Nick smiles "Kev is going to do his best to help her, there is no doubt about that." Colleen nods against his chest and asks "Is that why he wrote her a song?" Nick chuckles a little at the way his girlfriend has managed to bring the question around to the song, he had wondered when she would mention it. "I don't know, Maybe. I think it's something that has been building up in him for a while now... It finally came out last night for him. You know it's actually a song Lisa wrote?" Colleen sits up and looks at him questioningly "He's stealing my sisters songs?" Nick lets out a loud laugh "No, it's not like that. She apparently wrote the music a while ago, and asked if he wanted to work with her on it." "Well if she knows about it why is it a secret?" Nick rolls his eyes "It's really confusing but as I understand it he remembered the music from her playing it for him once, and has written lyrics to go with it, he just hasn't played it for her yet." Colleen's brow furrows, and she shakes her head "You're right that is confusing. I hope she likes it though." Nick chuckles again "I pretty sure Kevin feels the same way." She lays her head back down against his chest, her fingers playing with the collar of his shirt. He presses his cheek to the top of her head and takes a deep breath, the sweet smell of her apricot shampoo filling his senses. He looks over at the TV images flash on the screen but he isn't really watching, all his thoughts are on the beautiful girl in his arms. He thought back to the first time he had seen her picture, when they were helping Lisa unpack her stuff. How he thought she was cute, but never imagined that they would eventually meet and be dating. A pang of guilt nipped at his heart when he thought about their very first meeting, he had been rude and judgemental towards her in that car ride home from the airport. He had decided there that she wasn't worth knowing, it was funny how quickly first impressions can influence your decisions. He was happy that Joe and Kevin had both told him "to suck it up" and actually give her a chance. Because if he hadn't he would never have discovered who she really is, her caring nature, her family values, her adorable little laugh and her knock out smile. He would never have fallen in Love with her. He was in Love with her, he just was too afraid to admit it, to himself or to her. Was it to early, they really had only been dating a few weeks, everyone had found out about it only last week. His thoughts are interrupted by Colleen's soft voice "Can I tell you something?" she sounded a little nervous to him. "Of course, Anything!" he replies hoping his voice didn't sound as nervous as he was feeling, when she had spoke, every nerve in his body vibrated to life.
