Footage of the ongoing dispute at the Vesta Wind Turbine factory in Newport on the Isle Of Wight. It seems that despite posting profits the owners are not satisfied and wish to close the factory and relocate elsewhere. Where, no doubt, they can employ people at a much lower salary level and post even greater profits. The government, despite proclaiming the need for thousands of 'green' jobs have remained extremely quite on this issue. In the end, they should put their money where there mouth is and nationalise the factory. This would prove that in a recession they have the workers best interest at heart and also go some way to reaffirming their pledge for a green revolution.
If past experience is anything to go by, then these people are out of luck. The UK (and the world) generally believe that the Neo-Liberal model is the only way to go. With such a world view there is no place for ethics or morals. When are we all going to learn that we cannot be led by bankers, brokers and big business? When will we learn that shareholders should not be the main priority?
Let's not forget that this factory is making money. If it isn't broken then do not fix it.
I see this as some Nazi Scam all over again, because the Isle of White has underground Hydroelecticity Staiton's owned by the BBC since well before WW2, which are still operablle, and cann easily supply every home and factory on the entire Island with FREE Hydro Power, same as in the UK, the BBC's STOLEN load's of them, and ALL paid for by the Public; now do you see a Nazi with a lot of wind yet?
