Me Cycling over the golden gate bridge. I nearly fell a few times. I was sad to learn about all the suicides on the bridge hence the song choice. Its a great bridge, I cycled over it every week during the summer. Its a song from super tramp called goodbye stranger. Its suitable due to all the suicides that happen which is why its so sad!
he Golden Gate Bridge is acclaimed as one of the world's most beautiful bridges and with its tremendous towers, sweeping main cables and great span, it is a sensory beauty featuring color, sound, and light. The Bridge can be a very busy place, particularly during the summer months. It is estimated that about nine million people from around the world visit the Bridge each year.
Pedestrians (including wheelchair users) and bicyclists may access the sidewalks during daylight hours. Pedestrians and bicyclists share the east sidewalk on weekdays and all must pay close attention as the sidewalks can get very busy. The Bridge is 1.7 miles long and we encourage you to wear comfortable shoes and layered clothing. Roller Blades, Skateboards and Roller Skates are not permitted. Dogs are permitted only if under control and on a leash at all times.
Directions to the sidewalks.

Pedestrians and bicyclists may access the east sidewalk, located near the Strauss Statue, daily (hours adjusted seasonally). On weekdays, pedestrians and cyclists must share the east sidewalk from 5 am to 3:30 pm. As the sidewalk can get very busy, please pay close attention and watch for passing cyclists. The sidewalks can be accessed from the southeast parking lot or the northeast parking lot (directions).

Take a short walk to the Fort Point overlook from the southeast parking lot (directions). Follow the brick sidewalk located behind the Strauss Statue and continue to follow the bricks to the right until they join an asphalt walk. Then follow that to the left to the overlook. Take a walk through the renovated garden area on the southeast side of the Bridge (directions). Stepping back from the Strauss Statue, visitors are faced with yet another visual treat: the immaculate gardens. On less than five acres, the annual and perennial flower beds and manicured hedges accent the brick sidewalks inviting guests to wander up or down a path to view the Bridge from a different prospective
