The story: My cousin went to our apartment to have some games installed and have some music, photos and videos transferred to her phone. He left her phone with me. Of course, it couldn't be avoided for me to actually see the photos and videos with it-- pictures and videos of my nieces. They're all still babies, young and cute. And I love them. However, I saw this one video that I thought could be related to my nieces as well. Voila! I found myself amused to these gay kids. They could crack jokes in no time. I believe it's all impromptu. I am amazed how fast they could think and make people entertained. I personally do not know who these kids are. I think they are some neighbors of my cousin(s), or maybe some talented and happy kids who approached my cousin(s) to have them entertained.
Generally, I found this video funny and entertaining. Honestly, I was also shocked that they could blurt out adult words, but I have put myself on the positive side. They maybe was just blurting those words out to make the people watching them during the time the video was being taken happy. I believe the people on the background besides the one recording this video are all already adult. I think these gay kids chose their audience naman.
The reason why I posted the video here on YouTube is mainly to share the laughter I found after watching this video. My other reasons would be (a) for us to be aware that these kind of phenomena really occurs in some parts of the world, and (b) for these gay kids to show off the talents they have. I felt they really wanted to tell and show the world how talented they are and that they have potential on entertaining and sending happiness to people, but due to poverty, it isn't that easy.
So, what can we do? Or initially, what can I do? After reading all the comments, I thought I should take some actions to help these kids even I personally do not know them. I have already asked my cousin if they know who these kids are and maybe she could send them to me so I could do some interview with them clearing all the issues (young kids uttering adult words) some people are talking about. I do not know these kids' point of view yet, but we'll find out after I get the chance to know them personally and meet them.
To all the viewers and comment-ers, all your opinions helped (positive, negative, semi-positive/negative). I believe we all want a peaceful and clarified situation. These kids are all witty. They all have a talent on entertaining people, but we do not want them to be somehow misled (as we're not sure how often they utter the adult words and if they all mean it-- hey, they could have just mentioned those words for fun and entertainment with an adult audience). So, on the next video that I will personally setup with them, I will try to clarify things with them. Wish us luck!
PS: The kids already know that this video of them on YouTube is gaining views and attention. And as far as I was informed by my cousin, they're much more excited than me to have the interview done. I told them we'll do the interview Saturday morning, but the kids insisted Friday afternoon after their class. LOL. It's cute. :)
PPS: A clarification on a comment posted on a forum wherein it was said there's a different meaning with what my cousin said "Pakainin mo naman yung mga bata" in the background - wala pong masamang ibig sabihin ang pinsan ko dito. She literally meant "pakainin ang mga bata" (give them food to eat) and not the other green-minded thing. I was actually shocked someone could think about that. Ang salitang ginamit, delivery at tono naman nang pinsan ko eh wala namang kabastusan. Nasa point-of-view na lang talaga ng mga tao, at kung huhusga ba sila. There could be a lot of different reasons it was said. "Pakainin ang mga bata" to bring them more health? (it could be said, because they all appear skinny) "Pakainin ang mga bata" to give them some "thank you" for entertaining us? Though, of course, don't get us wrong-- hindi naman pinapakain lamang ang mga batang ito after nila mag-entertain. C'mon, me, as an amateur singer/band member performing on different events, I/we receive (note: we do not ask) our "thank you's" through food or money, minsan wala (but we are always happy when we are appreciated and when we are able to entertain). So, there. Explained. :) Really, guys, let's look at the brighter side and hinay muna from making assumptions and judgments without knowing the situation well first. :)
