I know how you feel. I just got a Korg 588 and the lowest a, d, and e are unplayable. on top of that the key response of ALL the keys below f3 is weird and clunky. i will be fucking PISSED if the korg repair center cant fix it.

Wow, I work for fedex and normally I wouldn't think twice about 1 pack damaged when you look at the big picture and the amount of volume we see per day. There are so many variables that come into play. When I saw the photos, I was ashamed and I hope you are able to resolve. Sometimes I see synths comin in and being a musician myself I do my best to handle with extreme care. Sorry that others don't use the same method.

Hope you can fix. Motif ES 8 is a true classic and a musical instrument in even amateurish hand plays wonderfully!

don't worry it's very easy and it only takes 10 minutes.

oo nooo, I realized that all I wanted was to play the piano. So I settled for a 400$ used digital haha.
That video made me ILL. Hope that it is resolved and fixed- and playing beautiful music. So was it FedEx' fault, or the vendor? Whichever one... SHAME on them!
My ES8 had 2 keys punched down during transit, but I was lucky enough to fix it immediately. This is my all-time favorite studio gear. I basically use it exclusively. Bless the ES8; instant vintage.

ya it is my fav too~ itz my baby!!! i love it more than the XS but maybe i just say that cuz the XS is unaffordable at this pt =P
YAH i am still angry at it and FedEx wont pay for the damage, but I got a quote saying like $200 or so for 5 keys, but i think most the cost comes from opening it up... then from labor time... not really per key...
everytime i see a FEDEX truck now, i get angry. "due to pictures" ... WTF

hi, i had the same accident with my motif es8 handled by ups. It's very imple to repair: just open the 2 sides and all the bottom screws. Then you just have to move the hammers to the right places

Thanks for the input! I'm a bit terrified to open it up... I sent a followup to the claim a few days ago to FedEx... it's been months and no response.

Wow... I hope you get your claim. I'm trying to get an ES right now too since the XS is out of reach for me right now.

Hi, did you get your ES? Try ebay maybe? It's discontinued, but I'm sure you'll be able to get one. Good luck!!!!
