In this episode I talk about Plants Don't Drink Coffee by Unai Elorriaga. It was translated from the Basque by Amaia Gabantxo, and was published in July 2009 by Archipelago Books.

  • Good work. If you like narratives from children's perspectives written without sentimentality and you haven't already read it, you should check out A High Wind In Jamaica. You'll be glad you did.

  • @iamdavidandiamasaint That one has been on my list for a few years now. I will definitely get to it, though I'm not sure when. For some reason I feel like I should read it during the summer.

  • @uxozuria Thanks for the correction. I hate mispronouncing writers' and translators' names, which I'm sure I do often since I like so much international literature.
