Sensei Brian Hill and Julie Linker demonstrate three aikido techniques at River City Aikido in Richmond, Virginia. These techniques (katate dori shihonage omote and ura waza and shomenuchi iriminage), along with the techniques from the orange belt test, are required for the children's purple belt test.
Video shot and edited by Baron Blakley.
Music by Kevin MacLeod.
Also an important note.keeping your back straight while executing this technique is extremely vital. If not, you can easily fall or be pulled down.

Just a note on shihonage: When performing shihonage, uke should not be erect after nage pivots under uke's arm. In fact, uke should be clearly stretched out and off balance before the pivot occurs. If uke can stand perfectly straight at any point during nage's performance of shihonage, uke can defeat shihonage.
