Audience recording from the Hollywood Sportatorium, Hollywood, Florida, Sunday, January 24, 1988. This playlist is a gift to the other people on the planet who admit to actually liking Big Generator, too.

  • @elipper Well, right at the beginning, he says something about "our new album, Big Generator". Then, he says "here's one from our last album". So, usually, "our last album" would mean 'our latest album', but that's just how he happened to say it here, meaning 'not our new album, but our last album.' -Does that make sense yet?

  • @elipper huh??..he SAID off our last album..that would of been (for a few years) Big Generator, not 90125

  • @mjw9363 "our last album", as opposed to THIS album. --A little awkward, but that's what he meant.

  • if this is 88 why did he say our last album was 90125!??

  • @tatsuko1 are you a MORON?..you certainly sound like one

  • Um, I liked Big Generator...except you can hear everywhere they punched-in. Good tunes though.

  • Yeah but what a great toilet - was at this concert and many more in the early 70's - it's all we had - Doobie Brothers, Ozark Mountain Daredevils & Lynard Skunyrd - anyone else at that concert?

  • sportatorium was a toilet

  • Trevor holds the note for six seconds. On 90125 he holds it for seven seconds. Six seconds is acutally about the average amount of time on every live recording, not just this one. Sometimes he makes it to seven seconds, but not on this one. Ten seconds is considered difficult. There are better examples; on the bridge of "Walls" when you hear "and I'm calling...you" the last word is held for eight seconds.

  • 3:28 The longest I've ever heard Trevor hold that note/phrase when singing this. Bravo! That's not easy and takes a lot of vocal practicing & exercises as a vocalist. His exquisite singing is just amazing at this show.
