i dnt think he ruined it, i think he re-invented it, the original never went into why michael kills or how he ended up being the monster he is, rob zombie showed us half of this in the first film, the psychological aspects of a horror film is what makes it scary, now we get to see why he continues to kill, he obviously belives his mum is telling him what to do, i think it makes it more realistic and more natural like this :)

VERY underrated horror film. I think people don't like it because it requires thinking. I think when people went into see this movie, they thought it would be a mindless horror film, and when they saw it was really detailed as to why Michael is killing, people didn't like it cause they had to think.
