I was like what the fuck when i heard the pre chorus that is left out of the movie on the soundtrack...but now whenever i watch the movie it sounds wired without the bridge...and for any almost famous fans who havn't seen the bootleg cut, watch it, its alot better than the actual theatrical cut

This IS intended as an ironic performance, and was posted for that reason. Dave is one of the funniest guys in rock in my opinion. And no amount of "irreverant ghoulishness" can convince me or the squajillions of people who've bought his/their records otherwise.
And his voice IS amazing. Let's make the clear distinction between "singer" and "vocalist"... Dave being the latter. And he's great at it. Screams like nobody's business!

what does he like whisper, say softly at around 4:48 after he says Blue jean baby then everyone start laughing.. just wondering cause i cant understand and its been bothering me, ha.
