Zhenya: It is going to be a very serious competition and I want to live up to my coaches' expectations and enjoy my performance.
Correspondent: Do you change your routines?
Zhenya:The routines are being always changed. We always try to find things which suit me most.
Correspondent: How do you feel yourself now? Are you ready for the competition?
Zhenya: I am very tired after the previous competitions, but I will try not to show the audience that I am tired. Hope everything will be fine.
Correspondent: How do you prepare for the EC? Is there any special preparation or everything goes as usual?
Zhenya: I took part in three competitons abroad in a raw and I didn't come to Russia for a long time. I trained in Novogorsk only for one week.
Correspondent: Do you have any special ritualas, traditions when you leave Novogirsk for an important competiton?
Zhenya: No, I don't really care about these things.
Correspondent: Do you sit on the suitcases before leaving?
Zhenya: Yes, I usually do.
Correspondent: What do you say to yourself before going on to the carpet?
Zhenya: It is very personal.
Correspondent: Have you made any changes in your routines before EC?
Zhenya: We only changed one element to make the program more stable.
Correspondent: What do you think about the rivalry at the EC?
Zhenya: Well, the rivalry always exists. And thanks God there is rivalry. But I try not to think about it, I must execute my routines the best way I can.
Correspondent: You will do all the four apparatus this time, won't you?
Zhenya: I am happy to make four routines, because last time I only did one apparatus in 2007. And now I am really happy to have this chance.

A. No, I just try to be calm.

Q. Such as sitting on the suitcase for a while before departure (which is a Russian thing to hope for a smooth trip)

A. I do sit on the suitcase but it does not mean I wish for anything.

Q. Is it only you are like this or how?

A. It is just for me.
