Sgt. Gwen Beberg befriended puppy Ratchet while serving in Iraq. The U.S. military confiscated Ratchet as Sgt. Beberg prepared to fly home from Baghdad Airport. Operation Baghdad Pups, a program run by SPCA International, is pleading with the U.S. Army to allow Ratchet to fly out of the country - amid fears the dog awaits almost certain death if left behind. Please help our service men and woman keep their beloved pets in Iraq & Afghanistan

  • Beautiful video! Have you ever read 'From Baghdad with Love'?

It's a wonderful book about a puppy coming home from Iraq.

  • This video is very touching. Is this what the US army really do? If they do then God bless them! :)

    Very important video!

  • most of the soldiers kill the animals for fun it sickens me dearly that owere army kills animals for fun and i live in america. but these people help animals find new owners and give them love and food. i wish that the whole world was like that but there are people that are people that just raised wrong. but thay probibly got shot by now

  • Thank you. It's a beautiful video. Like many other people, this story got my attention, broke my heart, gave me inspiration, and forced me into action. The outpouring of support from around the world helped to renew my faith in humanity. You did a really wonderful thing...keep up the good work!

  • Magnifique!^^

  • Who can I contact to help....any ideas. This cause is dear to my heart.

  • This made me cry..beautiful. Thanks for letting us know about this wonderful cause. Those poor innocent animals, alone, Hungry, abused, and killed..They deserve a second chance to be loved, and wanted..Thankyou to the soldiers who give them comfort and love..the other B****s who I HAVE SEEN kill them for fun..i hope you rot in hell for eternity..

  • "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated... I hold that, the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man."

Gandhi, Mahatma Indian political and spiritual leader (1869-1948)

  • Tearing my heart apart. It's sad that we've to experience the agony of these pets. With God's help rescue them

  • I think US army should support this program, that helps to improve their image, and, the most important, helps their soldiers to go on there with all the troubles and at home, when they return... I read army doesn´t allow this and want to kill Ratchet the puppy, killing the most innocent party in this problem is definitly not the wise action.. even if being selfish..
