  • Why do homophobes go on youtube and watch videos of gaypride, or videos featuring gays? they're obviously curious about their own sexuality!! as they say, its most likely that homophobes are actually gays themselves, but they can't accept it! its sad and I feel sorry for them!

  • Trains2007 is a low life douche don't mind him. Majority of us Faroese like Icelanders! And furthermore majority of Faroese is ashamed by Jenis av rana (the one who rejected dinner with your prime minister)

  • @turbofritz2 Ha ha yea we are known for that :)

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot the chicks were very nice specialy.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot The Icelandic women are very nice looking.

I'm going up in July as a tourist. Have some people to visit and going to wedding of a freind also. But i' probably going to party there as well :)

  • @turbofritz2 Im glad to hear it :)

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot Glad that your brother experienced something positive there as well. I've only been in Iceland 3 times. But only unexpected. Two times because we fished in icelandic water then just in to take oil and food. One time because our flight couln't land in Faroe Islands and we had to fly to Iceland, spend a night in Reykjavik then. Was great. Freindly people.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot No well. There is some people who are fundamental Christians who act that way. It's a very small minority and they are in society as well. And they are very vocal and offcourse the media will blow them up because it's entertaining for the rest to read about.

It's very safe for gays and there are lots of homosexuals who are open about it. Know a guy who always is in town partying he seems to have alot of fun every time.

  • @turbofritz2 Well as for coldness, Iceland is not a land of ice but it can be quet cold here during the winters.

But most icelanders are kind people, we don't kiss strangers i give you that but we give handshakes to pretty much everyone and we allways smile and bigotry and intolerance are low.

  • @turbofritz2 Yes i have heard Faroese kindness aswell :) My brother works on a transport ship and he allways says how people are nice there. I was just confused at first because i was not sure if people still acted a little hate towards gay people there. Not to mention the Faroese people lended oss 3000 isl millions in 2009 because of the recession. You may be few in numbers but your hearts are more then nation of millions can be.

  • As an example i live in Norway and you'd always heard from other Europeans than Norwegians are cold and such. But it's utter bullshit. They should go to Faroe Islands and try that. It's 10 times as bad there.

In spain and italy on the other hand it's much more common to kiss each other and hug and stuff even to people you don't know. Iceland is probably somewhere between Southern europe and Faroe Islands what concerns that mentality.
