Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell join forces in the medical drama Extraordinary Measures, a gripping story based on true-life events of parents struggling to find a cure for their children's fatal disease.
The story follows John Crowley (Brendan Fraser), who has finally begun to taste success in corporate America. Supported by his beautiful wife Aileen (Keri Russell) and their three children, John is on the fast track.
But just as his career is taking off, Crowley walks away from it all when his two youngest children, Megan and Patrick, are near death from the fatal Pompe disease—a disease similar to muscular dystrophy. With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford). Together they form a biotech company focused on developing a life-saving drug.
One driven to prove himself and his theories, the other by a chance to save his children, this unlikely alliance eventually develops into mutual respect as they battle the medical and business establishments in a fight against the system—and time.
Harrison Ford sat down for an interview with Tribute's Toni-Marie Ippolito to talk about playing the role of a scientist, his role as executive producer, and he admits that you may have to "hold your breath" for a possible Indiana Jones 5.

  • I remember watching this is South America. I know this is a serious movie, but my favorite part (besides the happy ending) was when Harrsion flipped his lid, and went to Fraser, "Why don't you just hand me my BALLS in a jelly jar?!"

  • For once it would be great to see Harrison Ford not treat an interview like a root-canal given at 3:00 AM.
