"Selling CD's (in China) is difficult, but to the concert has arrived about 2000 Nightwish fans."
Voice in the background: "There's barely 10 degrees warm in the hall, but that doesn't matter. There's a lot of energy in the Chinese crowd - they even remember lyrics of the songs. Nightwish's first gig in China is an episode that people has come to watch at any way.
* *
"In the crowd there's real long-haired rockers, but also old people and children. Kitee's gift to the world's heavy rock is suprised by itself about passion of the crowd."
Tuomas: "It's really suprising, really great. Since I didn't expect anything, I've never visited here, during 11 years I had no clue what's going on here and it was a warm welcome here... It felt great."

Voice in the background: "The Pekingese crowd warms up even more, when from the stage is heard a couple of words in Chinese."
* *
The reporter: "Very much people have arrived to the Nightwish's first gig in China. About 2000 Chinese fans sing and scream along."
Voice in the background: "The opening of China is shown also by this way - by the bloom of subcultures. Everything's beginning to be as far away as one pressing on a button."

"Even though to the gig would come as much as people as here, it doesn't mean that CD's sell well. Even 90% of music is copied illegally. The band knows it too, but it doesn't debase the atmosphere."
Tuomas: "Well, it's about that that we want to have new experiences, to ourselves and to others too. At that point money and whether you sell a lot CDs or no doesn't matter at all. I mean - a tour in China, that isn't something that many people have done. It feels unbelievable great."

  • Chinese words that Marco spoke: He did not say 'zhen hao' in fact, it was 'zhen ta ma hao', which means 'f**king really good', and 'zhen hao' means 'really good'. Obviously their chinese friends taught something dirty, as what Nightwish guys did somewhere else.
