@necoeco This is in Urdu. The actual language of the Mughal courts was Farsi (Persian), and this was certainly the courtly language in Akbar's time (Akbar is the Emperor in this movie). However, Urdu gradually replaced Farsi as the language of the courts. The last Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, was also a famous Urdu poet.
For the purposes of the Subcontinental audience, this movies has been wrought in Urdu and not Farsi!

How sad nothing is said about great Perthavi
Rajkpoor (Akbar),without him Mughal-e-Azam would be another song and dance movie.I love his acting. He was one of the greatest actors born.
