Yeah, I did those test on my own ThinkPad T500 a year ago. I dropped it from 4 feet, and stepped on it, and poured a glass of water on the keyboard. It was working well !!!

This notebook has been dropped from 10 feet, and then stepped on by a 241lb adult, and it was fine after. The notebook was even on at the time of the test.

If it was an official advertisement, You can bring a suit against them. There was a brochure where they stated that ThinkPad stands against hits even if a child step on it. Well, the 2 years old child of my colleague sit on his father's one and the notebook was smashed. After our company reported the manufacturer the fact and wrote many letters, we got back its price. :P
