foolish saudi family no one needs a huge building like this, and certainly not in a holy place like the area of the Kaaba. The Ottomans have built the walls around the Kaaba in specific way, the showed respect to our religion and to the holy place. People who do their pilgrimage and asking for forgiveness, NO we don't want to look at the time, 'cause we don't need to know the time in that holy place- TEAR IT OFF and spend your to money to palestine!

Actually Saudi Arabia built it because many many of people come to Mecca in Ramadan and Haj and somtime they do not find a place to stay, so they built because of that. And I think the hotels from the 6th floor to end of the tower :)

Dear, Zamzam tower is 2nd tower from right, there are 7 towers in total, including marwa towers, rotana, movenpick and one palace too. The clock tower is also known as Fairmont clock tower.
well leaving all the info above aside, in general people call it Makkah clock tower, and it should be called by same as all investment is done by government (king).
This project including all towers is KING ENDOWMENT PROJECT.
