Awakening the Dreamer

When the G20 met in Toronto recently, the world's press focused on the negative, anger from protestors and police brutality. But as the world leaders discussed our future, a very different gathering was taking place at Grail Spring's idyllic lakeside retreat center in Bancroft, Ontario, Canada. We arrived at the tent on Saturday morning with no idea of what would happen. Two presenters guided us through a series of videos, beautifully made but revealing the ugly truth of what we are doing to our planet. This event is designed to help us reconnect with our deep concern for our world and our power to make a difference. But be warned, these videos will make you feel. Watching these wonderful animals becoming extinct or their gorgeous natural environments reduced to garbage dumps, the tent went silent, apart from some quiet sobbing. It's time for a wake-up call.
