Lights of Tabarca

Photographs from the island of Tabarca (Isla de Tabarca) off the Santa Pola coast (Alicante), Spain.

Tabarca, with a small permanent population concentrated to one end (West) of the island, has a stronghold constructed in the 18th century to wend off North African pirates and also a lighthouse.

The island can be reached by boat from the towns of Santa Pola, Torrevieja and Alicante; it´s landscape is barren, rugged and quite picturesque.

This extremely melancholy piece of music is a pearl of the tarantas style.

Muy buenas fotografias, me ha gustado mucho, has captado la esencia de la isla...

lo que no me ha gustado ha sido la musica, demasiado andaluza... no mediterranea.... demasiado cante jondo....

Una lastima ver las imagenes tan buenas con una musica que no le corresponde.
