is an Ethiopian long distance track and road running athlete. Known for his remarkable versatility, Gebrselassie achieved major competition wins at distances between 1500 metres and marathon, moving from outdoor, indoor and cross country running to road running in the latter part of his career. He has broken 25 world records and won numerous Olympic and World Championship titles, and is widely considered one of the greatest distance runners in history.

so cool, if you think about it all of those school runs payed off, 10 years of running 20k a day. He has tons of gold medals and olympic records to show for it. Great guy, and a great story.

If he had carried his books with his right arm he probably wouldn't have been as good as he was on the track. When going around the turns your right arm is used more than your left. The sneaky bastard probably planned it like that.
