...this track was probably the most well-known "small/independant" label song produced in the mid-80's in LA, because EVERY BLACK CLUB that I have ever been to had this cut in their repertoire. Captain Rapps Bad Times was actuall produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. They took the sound from 2001 boogie !

Actually this jam came out before "Bad Times" by Captain Rapp, so in reality Captain Rapp used this jam, and not the other way around. I had this 12" Single way before Captain Rapp came out.
