Video from The Driver's Edge HPDE at Texas World Speedway on 14-Mar-2010. Red run group, second day, first session. Camera car is a Porsche GT3 RS.
Several mistakes here -- a red Cobalt SS spins in turn 14, four wheels off. The driver in the GT-R seemed to be really distressed by the spin and comes to a near stop at the entry of the corner causing a pile-up of cars behind him. Then an opportunistic yellow Corvette "steals" a pass from the stopped traffic. This was during a DE event where no passing is permitted without a signal from the lead car.
Generally you'd expect better decison-making from red group drivers.
is it illegal to use blinkers on the race track?

great idea with the trailing camera, but anyways the lead view is just terribly fast, and the engine note is the icing on the cake ;-)

Then again, it is The Driver's Edge.

It was probably the electronics babysitting the GT-R. Or he had the "INSERT COIN TO CONTINUE" symbol flashing :P
